Most people sign legal documents without really reading them. Not because they don't care, but because legalese is dense, time is short, and proper review is expensive. ContractSummary changes the math: a clear first-pass brief in minutes, so you know what you're agreeing to before you sign.

§ 01 · METHOD
How it works

A first-pass legal review, on demand.

Not a replacement for a lawyer. A clear head-start: so when you do speak to one, you already know what to ask.

01
Upload

Drop the document

PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT or RTF, up to 25 MB. Purchase deeds, service agreements, auction dossiers, NDAs, leases. If text can be read from it, we can work with it.

02
Analyse

Every clause, read

Our system extracts essentials, pulls out every number (prices, deadlines, penalties, notice periods) and flags clauses that commonly cause trouble.

03
Deliver

A brief, by email

Short. Structured. Plain language. Ends with concrete questions to ask before you sign, so you can have an informed conversation with whoever holds the pen.

§ 02 · SPECIMEN
What you get

One page.
Everything that matters.

Each brief follows the same structure, so you always know where to look, and nothing important gets buried.

01 · ESSENTIALS What this contract actually does.
02 · RISKS Unfavourable clauses, hidden liabilities, ranked by severity.
03 · NUMBERS Prices, deadlines, penalties, notice periods.
04 · QUESTIONS Ask before you sign, not after.

§ 03 · USE CASES
Who it helps

When hiring a lawyer
would be overkill.

Real-estate buyers

Auction dossiers, preliminary purchase agreements, mortgage terms: dense documents, tight deadlines.

Small businesses

Vendor and service agreements, NDAs, partnership terms: when you need to move fast but still want clarity.

Freelancers

Client contracts, IP assignments, scope clauses, payment terms: the stuff that decides whether you actually get paid.

Renters & tenants

Lease agreements, deposit terms, termination clauses: what happens if things go sideways.

§ 04 · FEE

§ 05 · INTERROGATORY
FAQ

Honest
answers.

Q.01 Is this legal advice?

No. ContractSummary is an information tool. It helps you understand a document and ask better questions. For a binding opinion, consult a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.

Q.02 What file types can I upload?

PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT and RTF. Scanned PDFs work if the text is selectable; image-only scans are unreliable.

Q.03 Who can see my contract?

Only the automated analysis system and, if something fails, a small internal team under strict confidentiality. Files are stored in EU data centres and deleted 30 days after delivery.

Q.04 How long does it take?

Most analyses are delivered within 10 minutes of payment. Very long or complex documents may take up to an hour.

Q.05 Can I get a refund?

Because this is a digital service delivered immediately, EU consumers explicitly waive the 14-day withdrawal right at checkout. If something clearly went wrong on our side, contact us and we will make it right. See the Refund Policy for details.

Q.06 Do you store my summary?

Your summary is sent to the email you provided at checkout. We keep a copy for 90 days so we can re-send it if you lose the email; after that it is deleted.

Q.07 Do I need an account?

No. Upload, pay, receive. No account, no password, no newsletter.
